It is a mechanical mixture of ammonium nitrate and fuel oil and a low-density explosive of relatively high
weight strength. The CSFMC is producing two types of ANFO, one is cap sensitive (exclusively produced by
CSFMC and the other is booster sensitive. The cap sensitive product is specially designed for rock blasting to
eliminate the risk of misring
