Seismic explosive is not a dierent type of explosive than other emulsions. It is also one of the categories of these explosives with some changes in raw material composition; to enhance its eective energy, velocity & shattering eect. It is designed for seismic application & geological survey. Its packing is in rigid plastic capsules with the provision of inter-coupling to prevent the water penetration. Although the seismic explosives have excellent water resistance, but the hydrostatic pressure within the bore whole is too much and sleeping time is approximately four weeks.
